This signal light was made by the Metropolitan-Vickers GRS Ltd of Manchester, England, a company founded in 1926. It's great to see the "Northern Main Trunk Line" sign on the front. This signal light was originally situated just past Ellerslie Station, heading into Newmarket, Auckland.
